Remembrance

As we approach the month of remembrance, November is a particularly meaningful month for me as it marks not only the remembrance of all the women and men who gave their lives for us, but it marks the passing of a woman who played an important role and shaped my life…my mother.  Her encouragement and example of giving back to the community and supporting those who need our help made an impression on me and has continued to stay with me today.

One of the cornerstones of my practice is to contribute to the health and wellbeing of our community.  I am honoured to support Sistering, a multiservice agency in Toronto for at-risk women and trans people who are homeless or precariously housed.  In honour and memory of my mother I am proudly dedicating the month of November at my practice, the month of Sistering!  For every treatment booked during this month, I will be donating $5.00 from each treatment to this incredibly important organization.  The vision of Sistering is a world where all women and trans people are safe, respected, valued and treated with dignity, and have equitable opportunities to thrive and participate in inclusive communities.
